Thanked: 1160Love the spoon and tea glass...Not sure if you are already aware or not,but keeping the spoon in the glass as you pour in the hot tea keeps the glass from breaking.Learned that from russian tea etiquette. Phil...I could totally sea you as becoming the master of Morroccan tea with your set up.........Wait a minute.....you spent time over in the Middle east correct ???
Don...I might be joining you in honey as sweetener.Trying to cut out as much sugar as I can. Not gettin any younger or thinner.

Thanked: 1160Broke out my russian tea glass tonight via N. Warmer . Thanks Phil...I guess SADAF should have told me something as well. Actually....interesting thing here. Russians got the idea of using samovars from the Mongols. And I'm willing to bet there is a middle eastern connection somewhere in the mix. Just goes to show how connected we all are really.

Today I ate breakfast in honor of my grandpa.
I remember him preparing the same thing every morning of his life. The “Mountain Tea” as he used to call it, which is also called “Sideritis”. He used to accompany it with olives, oil and bread.
Today I made this same mountain tea; I took some black and green olives, extra virgin olive oil and rustic bread.
He must have had some secret to arrive at 98 years old before moving to the other world.
Have a nice day!

From Wikipedia: Sideritis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sideritis (also known as ironwort, mountain tea and shepherd's tea) is a genus of flowering plants well known for their medicinal properties. They are abundant in Mediterranean regions, the Balkans, the Iberian Peninsula and Macaronesia, but can also be found in Central Europe and temperate Asia.
It is very common here and it is sold dried. You just add it in boiling water and after 2-3 min its done.
Here you can find some pictures from this “mountain tea” at mount Olympos in northern Greece between the regions of Macedonia and Thessaly:
