The second tea of the day is the “Yunnan Celeste”:

It is a good black tea with smoky taste and a bitter aftertaste.
Compared to “Grand Yunnan Imperial” it is weaker. More delicate someone would say, I just say weak.

The shop describes them like this:

    Yunnan Celeste:
Only golden tips are used to make this superb tea, in which smoothness and strength are perfectly balanced. The highest quality of Yunnan, and one of the finest teas in China.

    Grand Yunnan Imperial:
This organically grown Yunnan tea, full of golden tips, is superbly balanced and exceptionally aromatic. It fully merits its reputation as “the surgeon’s tea”, because it stimulates without causing edginess.

In my opinion, Grand Yunnan Imperial is much better.

I do drink tea at times, and I enjoy it over coffee in some situations. I obtain some tea leaves (whole), normally from the mall this place called teavana, and I bring them home and actually pulse them down in a coffee bean grinder. This can literally turn it into a fine powder if your too hardcore with the pulse button. After the leaves are fragmented, I add fresh rosemary to it, wrap it in a milk/cheese cloth and start to throw it into hot water. I normally sweeten with honey.

Seems to be missing a nice high horsehair plume on the top of it though. If you like I have a buckler and sword that might go well with that Helm...No I don't...Well I do, but I'm not sharing them .

Kicked the day off with some of that Royla Ceylon (I will read the name on the packet before I finish it all off, I'm sure). This tea is really showing me some of it's nuances. I've never had it as a first cup of the day, preferring a stronger start to the day. However, I've really had an interesting taste experience with it as a first cup. A sweetness that I've not noticed when it has come in later in the day or as a last cup of the night.

Okay where is THE complaint dept. around here anyway. There is no warning about visiting this thread and I feel another disorder coming on. I am sitting here drinking hot tea with these chocolate covered caramel things melting in my mouth and I only had 2 of the little buggers. The tea is just plain bag stuff (hope that doesn't get me in trouble) with some honey in it. I am proceeding with caution in this thread but thinking maybe I should experiment with some other kinds of tea. Second cup no honey, no sugar (gawd). Trying to train my taste buds already ? Is that a good idea. I didn't see a beginners section to this thread and I am wondering.......what would be the first direction for a rookie to go . My favorite tea is called Hunters and has an alcohol after taste to it. I have had a green tea at Starbucks and wasn't that impressed. I like the strong taste of my iced tea as it kills the thirst and cuts the dust out of the throat. I am sure there are other pleasures that include the taste buds when it comes to tea so lets hear it or point me to the list. I have seen some pics in here that I am sure is tea but I never seen it before.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

There is no complaint department... Complain all you want and I'll you'll get is a bunch of us sending you things you may or may not want

You said that you like your ... So lets start there... Obvisouly you like a strong taste/flavor... Chad & Steph can help you on that one with Russian Tea and other stuff...

I'll help you with adjusting your taste buds... If you like your Iced Tea, I recommend starting with a plain black tea, Lipton (Black & Orange Peko)... You will find that it's plain tea... Straight forward and nothing else... Also, loose tea leaves give better flavor compaired to a bag... And yes bags are ok... But ONLY ok...

At that point... It's up to you to try find what you like... It's a big tea world out there!

Steph (nightblade) started this thread with any sort of tea drinking in mind, I think. So teabags are definately most welcome here. And you can sweeten your tea to taste. I don't go for sugers at all except what is in the milk that I add to most of my teas.
Iced tea is also very acceptable, and is just the thing for my part of the world at the moment. Right now though, I'm having a hot cup of tea. 'Billy Tea' in fact. A medium strong black tea. Once my favourite, but now I find that I've been a bit of a heathen as far as taste goes. Or perhaps it's just that I've found other teas that I like better, and no doubt as time moves along, I will find others again.
As for a beginners section...This is it! What do you want to know? Just put it out there and those of us who never thought to ask, might learn a thing or two from the wise person that answers your question.

    Mick,

I have to ask... What is Billy Tea... I've been hoping to figure it out on my own but... Is it the brand or the brew method?
