I'm taking a break from shoveling the driveway and having some tea. I made some Lapsang Souchong and added blackberry jelly to the mug. I had heard that Russians like to stir fruit preserves in their tea so u gave it a try. The only thing I taste of the fruit is a little tartness. Anyone have any pointers on Russian tea?

An Acai Berry Oolong this morning , quite nice.
My wife and I found a really good tea shop here in the greater Phoenix area, Souvia. The staff were really nice and helped us to better understand the differences in the many tea's available. I will definitely be shopping through them from now on.

I packed a thermos of Assam tea in my backpack this morning. It was a brisk 4F/-15C on the walk to work so the hot tea was most welcome.

A nice tasting black tea with a nicely mixed flavor blend from Souvia - Holiday Delight.
Ingredients: black tea, apple pcs, cinnamon, cardamom, cardamom pods, coriander, flavoring, orange slices, pink pepper cloves.
So far I have enjoyed everything we bought from them. I didn't think I would care for this tea, but I was pleasantly surprised. The flavors are not too strong, end the aroma is really nice.

Today I am trying one of the teas my wife chose. It is a green tea with pear flavoring called "Pear Helena".
Here is the link: http://www.souviatea.com/store/Pear-Helene.html
The tea is light and the pear is mild and refreshing. I think I will keep this one on our list for future procurement.

I had tea from Blackwood Estate, Ceylon this morning. Good stuff to have on one of the coldest mornings of the year.
Apparently Blackwood Estate is part of the world's first organic tea garden and is also fair-trade.Last edited by Leatherstockiings; 02-05-2015 at 05:09 PM.
