Trying another Oolong today. "Ti Kuan Yin Premium". It isn't quite as nice as the "Milk Oolong" , but is still a good tea I think.
I wish I had gotten into tea earlier, maybe I wouldn't be as big as I am now if I had tried tea instead of becoming addicted to soda. My main concern though is wondering if too much tea may have adverse issues as well. I currently drink anywhere from 5-8 cups of tea a day. Mostly green/white teas with the occasional black tea tossed in (I'm still a major "Earl Grey" fan if I have a good one - had some godawful "Earl Grey" in the past.).
I am going to make a point to go through this post and make note of all the different teas mentioned here so that I can widen up my options a bit and try out something new here and there.
Also , where do you purchase your teas ? I have only been to "Souvia" , but have been looking through "Tattle Tea" and "The Republic of Tea" as well.

Thanked: 1160Well first off...alot of us drink that much and more. You can get a non fatal and reversable disease that weakens your bones due to the flouride in tea but, you have to drink way more than what you stated and like I said, the disease is reversible. You just knock off the tea for a bit is all. You're fine. Try these sights for good tea ..........Rishi Organic Tea, Green Tea, Oolong Tea, Chai Tea, Loose Leaf Tea Tea Kusmi Tea- Online sale of various teas: green tea, black tea

I've just opened my last packet of 2014 shincha(!)—yūki gokujō sencha.
An asamushi ujicha that has a very thick mouthfeel and buttery taste that develops a pleasant astringency during later steeps but maintains a milky flavour, which makes me think of a very weak, milky black tea (in a strange but good way).
Pics are of second steep:

Looks like a nice cup there. I'm interested in trying a Pu-erh tea , but so many options. I see some for $12-18 , and then some aged cakes for $80+ for a 350g cake. Some are 250g though..... I guess I will get as small of an amount as I can to try to find one that I like as I hear that some of them are an acquired taste that many do not like.
This world of tea is much larger than I had thought. Green , white, flavored, scented, black, blended, this & that and much more. It's sending my mind on a roller-coaster ride with all the options available. And of course I have taken a liking to the most expensive tea I have tried .... the Milk Oolong.

Tonight is hibiki-an's limited super premium houjicha.
Made with younger leaves and also including stems from matcha (presumably actually tencha but whatever). This is noticeably lighter in colour and also fresher in aroma. Underlying the nutty aroma and flavour of the roasting is a mellow sweetness and you can also see some green in the wet leaf.
Something a little different and really very good.

So we picked up a couple samples of Pu-Erh. One is an "Aged Pu-Erh" loose leaf and the other is "Pu-Erh Mini TuoCha". I am trying the Aged today. I must say that the taste is much better than the smell. The smell reminds me of working in my grandmother's garden. It's got a combo scent I can only describe of wood chips and mulch. BUT , the flavor is not as bad as the smell. It does still have a slight woodsy flavor, but finishes off with a slightly sweet taste.
Granted the 2 samples I have are on the cheaper side, I think I will give some of the higher end cakes a try in the future.

I like the teas strainer, PHANTZM. I didn't really care for Pu-Erh the first couple of times I tried it, but like it much more when I drank some higher quality stock at a friend's house.
This morning I am drinking Golden Monkey black tea.

Unfortunately my consumption of tea has dropped dramatically. I have not been working from home the last couple weeks and its taken a toll on my tea drinking. I'll ask everyone else to pick up my slack.
