I've seen alot of videos about lighting up one of these things but I've yet to see a good video showing actual practical lighting and then to table usage . I mean there was a time when many east European households had one and used it daily and I would really like to see that type of use shown. Most times it's people lighting them up in outdoor beach or open areas and they got'em smokin like a smokestack and seems like they're havin a struggle with it all. Till then if I ever do get one it'll be electric.

Another excellent video of Russian tea style . My favorite. and also sadly the last piece of cheesecake Vanilla bean drizzled with honey and sprinkled with Ceylon cinnamon along side a nice glass of Rishi Iron Goddess Oolong tea. It's a Taiwanese Oolong and this was the first brew 3 min. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Name: 011.jpg

Some of these are real works of art. I was amused by the Sochi 2014 one.

For those of you new to the tea thread, it's no mystery that I am a huge proponent of Russian style tea culture ...so here's is yet more great Slavic tea porn ....

Sure would love to participate in a good sit down at the samovar tea. I have been scouring the You tube for more videos on samovars and seeing there are better vids than when I had last checked. Someday I'll own one but now I really am torn between electric or traditional. Obviously with a traditional there is a lot more sensory enjoyment. If I only had my own house durn it all. I envy anyone lucky enough to have experienced the traditional samovar.

But if there is one thing I've learned, there is a huge difference between what is normally available and what is actually good. Its been an eye opening experience.

I am enjoying High Mountain green tea today, gents. It has been raining all day and that just turned to snow. I think we 6-9 inches expected in the next 24 hours.
