So here is one photo from the previous post and the bottom one is my traditional recipe... Basically: 1 part Black Tea, 1 Part Milk, 2 Tbsp. Pearls and Sugar to taste...

I must say that it is interesting at the lease, however, I think that a cream would give it more of a creamy taste and maybe a darker brew on the tea...

Looks good Phil..............Like I said..it's good...just not sure what to make of it with al those pearls and stuff heh .

Supermarket teabags and milk this morning. Didn't realise how much I missed it until I'd been off work for a while, glad it's back in the routine. I spent a few years not drinking it a while back 'as I only drank proper tea' and then realised it was much better to embrace it as it's fairly ingrained in the culture here in Scotland, and the other choice when at work, family or friends is instant coffee which I don't cope with.

I started out drinking tea brit style ...My Stepdad was from Knightswood ,Glasgow..I knew a lot of expats here in the states. Mostly it was either Barry's gold or PG Tips for tea. Those are still my go to's when I can't afford my coveted Russian Kusmi tea. Most time's I drink it black, but sometimes when I want comfort,I go back to good ol' milk and sug . Dang ! Now I want tea....I gotta go to bed soon though......oh bother !

The ritual with Chinese tea is half the fun. Unfortunately with a seven month old girl demanding constant attention I have been reduced to an instant coffee drinker. Yuck. But I'm just think of the tea parties we can have when she gets a little older.

The pearls are 1/2 the fun... Kind of like fish eggs as they go through the straw...
