I don't know why the picture is sideways. That's the Glenmorangie 25. I had the signet as well, and a couple of the Juras, Glenkitchie and a few other malts, AND some outstanding peat smoked stout!

Otto, I too fancy Laphroaig; I'm currently out of Quarter Cask. I'll remedy that.

I can't help thinking whisky and ginger ale would be a nice combination, but like I said, I don't have any whisky I'd be willing to try it with. I might pick up a miniature of something cheap at some point. Anyone else tried any whisky cocktails?
I'm the same way. I rarely have things to mix in the house. Never had ginger ale with whisky, but 7 and 7 (Seagrams 7 and 7-up) is a popular drink here.

Tonight I'm having Balvenie Single Barrel 12 year. Most pleasant.

I have been known to imbibe the occasional Manhattan, Whiskey Sour, Old Fashioned or a well made Mint Julep. When im bored with myself. Use Bourbon. By the way im drinking Belgian Tripel Ales this week.

I'd love to hear how that compares to the standard 16 year old.

It's slightly smoother, not quite as smokey, but the same strong peat. It's a bit mellower with a teeny bit sweeter finish (not sweet, just sweeter, a tiny bit fruity). It's as good, just slightly different.

Sounds nice. I've got my eye on the 12 year old cask strength at the moment. Waiting for pay day.

It's definitely nice. I believe I'll have some right now.
