A taste of Bowmore 18 -- very rounded in flavours; not too smokey, not too peaty. Rich, fruity sweetness like grapes, plums kind of orangey...touch of wood. Not a long finish but very good over all. Would certainly drink a bottle, not sure if I'd spend almost £80 on one...
Followed by a healthy dram of bunnahabhain 12, which, after the bowmore, had a lot of coconut smell and taste. Still has apples and a nice gently smokey finish.
Also had a single sip of lagavulin 16 because I could. I love how sweet and rich, yet heavy on the smoke this one is. Does indeed have a slight burnt toast flavour, which I didn't notice when I had it from a tumbler before.
Just paid off my credit card... Tempted to pick up something else this month, even if it's a few samples. I really fancy an HP 18 but I can't afford a whole bottle.
If not samples, it might be a bottle of Ardbeg uigeadail or springbank 10 (12? Whatever!).

Thanked: 36Try springbank if you haven't, I was well impressed. I had a bit of yamazaki and a bit of springbank cs tonight. I'm working on the laphroaig review, but tonight I was sharing a dram with a friend over skype, so no time for making notes today. I'm thinking about Bunnahabhain 12 when I get paid, but there's ten days to wait.

Settling in for the Walking Dead finale with one of my new favourites: Jura Supersition
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Can't go wrong with bacon! I will have to try this. A little off subject, my sister once gave me a gift consisting of a bunch of different high end USA cured bacon samples and an amazing bar of chocolate with bacon in it, an excellent combination! Go figure.
Don't drink and shave!
