    Default Scotch Whiskies.....of the year.

Did I splurge? Did I go overboard? Will I enjoy working through everything that came in a package all the way from the UK for me from me? The answer to all three of those questions is, YES!

Hopefully the pics do NOT appear sideways:

Nice spread there! Great way to have a taste and not spend an arm & leg. Now for the in-depth note taking & sampling.

I had a drop of sloe whisky the other night. The whisky component didn't taste like it was particularly good, but who would use good whisky for steeping sloes? It was very festive all the same. Merry Christmas everyone!

Had a 16 year old Laphroaig this evening. Very pleasant. A bit less smokey and medicinal than younger expressions, but sweeter, bit more herbal. Very nice indeed.
