New toys from Brazil. Auto leveling tamper with an adjustable spring load of 20 to 30 kilo and a distributor that automatically will adjust to the depth of the coffee in the portafilter. Works like a charm. A perfectly distributed and flat level tamping resulting in no channeling whatsoever for a consistent and delicious shot.

The tamper looks fantastic. I like the wood handle.

    Right on Max

I upped my game with similar tools a few months back. And you're right. they do make for a much more level and even infusion. I agree, the handle looks great on that tamper

A level is the best tool I have added to the mix in the last 2 years. We use similar spring tamper in the restaraunt and they are faster and better than the 1000ish dollar machine versions. Welcome to the next level of excellence in your pulls.

I agree. It really takes the guesswork out of a perfect tamping each and every time since being consistent is one of the main keys of pulling a great shot. There are several leveling tampers on the market but the Bravo tamper really caught my eye and I love to support a small family run business. Gilberto was a pleasure to do business with.

New toy this week, an ECM Classika II with PID. I am enamoured with it and it's perfect for my needs, straight up espresso, no milk. Using this thing is such a breeze compared to the Europiccola I used to have.

I will be receiving my new grinder soon, an ECM V-Titan 64 which will be replacing my Rancilio Rocky.

Excellent choice. This was actually my first choice but since I like both latte and espresso I decided for an HX machine. The Classika is pretty much a straight espresso machine only with the single boiler but it's got all the bells and whistles you can ask for. Any of the ECM machines are of the highest quality and I'd buy another one if I was forced to. Great choice on the grinder too. You're all set up for a very long time.

Out of curiosity, what did you do with the Europiccolo?

Joel, I sold it on Kijiji a few years ago and it went fast. It's a fun little machine, but not very practical if you are more than one coffee drinker in a household.

I had a lot of fun with it and learned a lot about espresso in the process.
