Thanked: 485I certainly need to get some Ogallala. I might start collecting Bay Rum stuff...

Just got my latest order of stuff which included ogallala bay rum aftershave and a bottle of ogallala bay rum double strength cologne. Is it me or do they have a stronger scent than dominica bay rum?

My long time (46 year) affair with St. Johns Bay Rum is a category 1 bay rum. It is my
only bay rum and while I have always used it as an after shave I suppose it technically is a cologne. Packaging remains unchanged since introduction. Available as a spray or splash on. : )Bob

So here I am, marooned in Jersualem, Israel. This AM I used the LAST of my Dominica Bay Rum, and am facing 3 long months of…NOTHING. Apparently some Bay Rums can't even be shipped overseas due to the alcohol content (???). Does anyone know of a merchant or other industrious person who knows how to get a decent Bay Rum here in Israel?

Just reporting back that I was able to order the Turtle Bay brand of bay rum aftershave, which is shipped in a hip-flask! I ordered from Barclay Crocker, who were able quite nicely to ship to Israel. They also kindly included a few samples, including one in a travel sized container perfect for the short day-trips I do while living in Jerusalem on research leave. I like the Turtle Bay product very much, btw, and got very fine, personal service from Barclay Crocker.

Thanked: 1160Actually really like this thread and haven't been here in a while. Just recently been trying Dominica as more than just an aftershave. If you look at the tag that comes with the bottle it lists all the medicinal uses for it. I have taken to the practice of filling the sink with cold water followed by a capful of dominica and then using that as both a soothing after shave rinse and also as a sponge bath. Very nice to say the least.
