The one I purchased comes with a Thin Gillette Blade, pic shows it in a cardboard sleeve...wonder what it is...one free blade? I guess for $50 can't expect the world, but it looked good...just picked one that was available for shipment to Canada and was relatively inexpensive...does come in a nice case though!
I did not follow my own advise, just read a bunch of DE blade reviews and ordered Astra SP blades in bulk off the net. These have worked very well in all my DEs. I lucked into some Persona blades locally for a buck a pack and they have been good too.

Yep,got a DE and Blades and access online. Still though, wish the pharm stores would stop peddlin that cartridge stuff.

(said its to much work to shave with a DE) Ya, I dont get it either...sometimes there's no accounting for some peoples children.

I have made mention of saving water and the whole save resources thing always enters my mind. Those 2 things were part of my decision to use a straight.
And come on dad, shame him into saving the planet. I am not speaking of your son now but I am getting tired of this ,well it's all so inconvenient to do the right thing. And that relates to many things. Look at this country in general. Okay don't do that. But you know what I mean :<0)

Yup, once again, got sent out to the grocery store to get some things, so after getting robbed yesterday for $26.72 for four cartridges, thought I'd see if they had any DE blades.

It was mentioned that they don't carry them!

So, this Loblaws is strange, there's a shaving brush, styptic pencils, believe it or not, several pucks of Williams for like $1.75, every imaginable cartridge razor you can think of, and not one pack of DE blades.

Population really is getting supremely ripped off....

If you are really desperate to get hosed try Shoppers. I'm sure they will oblige if yours are anything like ours when it comes to DE blade prices. OTH the Dollar Store or Giant Tiger may carry no name Israeli made blades for cheap.

Phrank, that Gillette "thin" might be a vintage blade. I wouldn't count on getting a good shave from it. I would keep it more as a collectable. not sure. Picture?

If you want to try the Wilkinson blades, Shoppers has the 10 pack for $15.99 and you can usually get Gillettes at Safeway for around the same or less.

Nice, it took me.a minute to work out what the box with a hole in it was for (to put over the head of the razor). Or maybe it's something else.
