As they say here, I don't believe you unless you show pics!
OK, I do believe you Dan. I feel I know you a bit and know you wouldn't stretch the truth when it comes to the Swedish razors. I keep thinking some day I'll get one. And I'd like to get a bigger one too. Like a MK32. They are both on my want list but my bank account says NO!

Sooo.... what about the question about no "MK" letters?

The 'K' designation is swedish for Quality - 'kvalitet' and the 'MK's were the highest quality, however, there is much disagreement about what the M stands for, and I won't hazard a guess except to note that the 3 crowns imply royalty to me so it wouldn't surprise me if the whole MK*** implies "quality for a king", but that's a guess on my part.

I have owned two #6's as well. Some one told you a story; the razors all use the same steel, there is no evidence to suggest otherwise. The #6 is unique in that it has a thumb notch and closely resembles the MK31. You should check out this thread, it explains the K stands for quality and the M stands for Hollow-ground. They are catnip to me!!

MK is short for Magnus Kindal who sold Heljestrand razors in Paris. They still have a few left IIRC.
