    No shave for me today...

Robert, interesting finish there. Might I ask - is the above the order you apply each in?

    Greetings Gentlemen!

Today marks the first day of my adventures into straight razor shaving.

    Pre: Hot Water
Shave: Merkur 34C HD w/ Astra SP / Imperial 11/16 (from whippeddog)
    Cream: GFT Violet SC
    AS: Proraso Splash

Overall it was definitely an interesting shave. I shaved my cheeks/jaw with the Imperial and discovered for me the difficulty lies in the ability to see what I'm doing! Hopefully this becomes trivial as I gain more skill in SR shaving. Some minor irritation on the jaw line, but this was to be expected as I saw it coming when I was shaving.

I finished the shave with my Merkur safety razor with a single pass. A beneficial learning experience today for sure.

Pictures to follow in future posts.

    Have a great day everyone!
