Shaved with my Victorian (VR) stamped Wade & Butcher (honed by Lynn).
Thought I'd pair her up with my VR stamped Martini Henry Rifle as well!

Thanks Robert. He did the scales and wedge (it was quite a while ago, here is a link to the thread). I saw this in the classifieds a while ago and couldn't pass it up (glad I didn't either as she is a SWEET shaver).

Kalerolf,
yes brother...Not even weather can stop a straight shaver. Nice shave with this Wacker. She's a beauty. The MB soap is nice too (love the scent and performance). Enjoy the BBQ
Paul,
Thank you for the kind words brotha. You'll love your Maxtom when you get it. Just hang in there.
LOOOOOOL
BIUUUU-TI-FUUUUUUUL...that's all I wanted to say
Julian,
What a fantastic range of products...I bet this one was one for the books, eh? Well done. I love it
Paul,
Very nice...This is what Jim Carrey (In his role in "The Mask") would say: Sssssss-MOKIN'!!!!!
PS: That bowl looks like a coconut shell (but I think it's my eyes that are deceiving me)
Thank you Rum,
Actually, I combine the moisturizer & the AS in the palm of my hand, mix and apply. The EdT never goes on face...usually s mini squirt on undershirt and one behind the ear. That's it.
Michael,
Another excellent post and shave. Well done
Nice razor Sten...It was nice of Blix to take this to the Coticule
Well, I can see that both you and Sten were pleasantly surprised, LOOOOOL. Kudos on a ob well done.
David,
What could one ask indeed? Nice shave buddy
Nice shave as always Tesite
Advisory,
Please allow me to extend a heartfelt welcome to SOTD and SRP. We're glad you found your way here. And congratulations on embarking and sticking with your first straight shave of your life. Don't worry about the details. it will come together soon enough...just stick to it.
What a beautiful shoulderless Henckels. Congrats
Tumtatty,
Beautiful and stunning pieces for sure. Both razor and rifle. And this is coming from a guy who's not a big fan of firearms/guns ;-)
Now, kudos to your wife. She's a keeper for sure too, LOL
I see Glenn...Great work and even better score picking her up. Congrats and enjoy

Today i recieved this razor from Robert. lz6. What a beauty. I chose C&E Sienna and ubered it with Nancy boy cream. I was rewarded with and amazing thick creamy lather. Very nice with an amazing scent. This razor has a buttery edge and is super sharp. 2 passes and a touch up. A slight irrritation on the neck but went away quickly. I am truely CBS!!!! Oh yea!!!!

Thanks Robert!
That Martini Henry is the "funnest" firearm i've ever shot. I only shoot paper (and the occasional pumpkin) btw. The cartridge is filled with blackpowder with lambswool used to take up the empty space. There is a grease cookie (used to keep the black powder fouling soft) in there as well. All that creates quite a unique experience (and smell) when she goes "boom."
Needless to say, being a collector of Victorian firearms, I couldn't believe it that I could get razors from the same era (and for quite a bit less $!) and use them as well.
In case you wonder what it's like you can check out these vids I posted on youtube. Too bad you can't smell it as well On the 2nd video go to 3:54 to see the Martini in action.

Thanked: 33Thanks Robert
That's my favorite old razor. It was originally from the Judge Lummus collection. Eventually, it will receive some custom scales and be brought back to it's glory. For being so old it hones easily (even with my poor honing skills) and holds an edge forever.
A razor from a famous collection, that is a joy to use. What more could one ask for?Last edited by newb; 06-18-2011 at 03:56 AM.
