A good two pass shave, a fine whiskey, and a good night to peruse some SOTD posts.
    Dunc,
With that beautiful razor, it's not a surprise that you are that satisfied. Well done

Few acquisitions in the meantime, so plenty of shaving stuff to enjoy from now on.

Sounds like you've been quite busy Konstantinos. So, which is your new acquisition in this photo? The Swede looks pretty awesome buddy

Don't push yourself, shave every time as you wish and as it pleases you. Perhaps you need more time to enjoy your Feather. When the time comes that you'll have kind of enough of it, though, first thing that'll get back into your mind will be the straight - remember that. Straight shaves are (to me) clearly superior* to anything else and highly rewarding.

Wow, I got this baby back from Neil today and it´s one smooth operator! I found the AS yesterday in an antique shop and it smells lovely and the amber coulor is excellent + it was like skin food for a hungry face when I put it on
Beautiful gear Mikael and that AS sounds like a winner.

Great shave GI and your cat is not only beautiful but also an effective supervisor. Well done

Congratulations mate. That sounds like a fabulous feeling indeed.

    Birnando,
Glad to hear the surgery went smoothly and you're back (almost) on your feet. Congrats on that new Buddel. She's gorgeous. May you have many happy (and hopefully better) shave from this beauty in the coming days/months/years ahead

Notes: I recieved my new j-nat set yesterday and wanted to use this razor for testing purposes. I used it just a few days ago and still can remember what it was like before. I am quite happy. It certainly was quite a bit sharper, although not as smooth as last time. Seems I need to work it a little more on the strop. Gave myself a small nick on the jawline, it stopped bleeding unattended before the shave was over. All in all, a nice shave. This lavender spice blend is also growing on me, I've found I reach for it quite a bit lately.
    Sten,
Congrats on receiving your new JNat + Naguras. Great job at putting them to good use. With JNats, it's all about experimenting. Have fun buddy

Post Week of June 26 SOTD - Wednesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 26mm Rudy Vey, TGN Silvertip, Silvertip Grade A Badger
Razor: 13/16" Toyo Scheön Burg #775, Full Hollow Ground, Spike Point
Strop: 45/60 laps (Neil Miller linen / SRD Premium IV leather)
Überlather: Nancy Boy "Signature" Shave creme + Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue AS
After Shave gel: Nancy Boy "Replenishing" AS Gel
    Cologne: Acca Kappa "Cedro" EdT
Results: The Nancy Boy and MWF combination produces one heck of a SPLENDID über concoction; The best of lanolin/tallow and glycerin worlds. It just doesn't get any better than this. The Toyo's edge just seemed to glide and float atop this thick cushion of wholesome lather...Another effortless shave this AM for sure. I love Japanese razors . CBS shave all around today .

First formal day with the Creed. Very well blended scent. Fruit and the pineapple especially dry down into a very woody oakmoss, even ash-like base. Can see myself liking this one a lot.

Not my finest shave, but that has all to do with me and the after effects of being sedated. In honesty I'm still a bit tipsy... The tools performed wonderfully. This brand new Custom was a true pleasure to receive and use. Very fine craftsmanship, beautiful materials and great design. I look forward to trying this blade out when "sober"

Bjørnar, glad your healing nicely. Anesthesia always did a number on me for a few days after. I had it three times over the course of my lifetime and it always took longer for me to recover from the anesthesia. Last time, I had my gall bladder removed and I never even took an aspirin. The effects of the anesthesia lasted several days. I hope you feel better quickly.

    Nice razor, I love Damascus.
