Thanked: 247I already know that tomorrow is going to be a bear and I will not have time to post up.
I also know what I am going to do (shave wise) so I am going to post up now.
This has become a true favorite of mine. It was great when I got it, and the love affair just blossomed. I re-honed it completely a week ago and somehow it became even MORE to my liking once I put my own edge on it (which was a surprise, because Brian has MADE more razors than I have honed, but it is what it is).
Anyway, I clicked this image with my phone and liked it (as is...I did not even bother editing it). I like it

No wax today, just washed it out and brushed it out. Now I really look like this guy but fortunately don't have Dibeetus
The weather is atrocious. Mid 40's gray and intermittently raining, looks more like London than FloridaLast edited by 1OldGI; 03-03-2013 at 11:16 PM.

Strop: Cangooner Enterprises #3
Brush: Whippeddog Silvertip
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Scuttle: Robert Baker 002 in Lava Slate
Shave: 3 passes, WTG/XTG/ATG

A/S: Captain's Choice Bay Rum
This is the first razor that has kept my W&B For Barbers Use out of rotation for more than a couple of days in a row since I finished fixing up the FBU back in the fall. It took a couple of returns to the hones to get it just right but man oh man is it ever a nice shaver now. It just effortlessly and silently mows through whatever gets in its way.
Have a great week everyone!
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Evening gents
Hot Shower
Mike's Natural Soap
AOS Silvertip Badger
TI Special Coiffeur 5/9
Merkur HD (loaded with Isreali Personna)
Alum
Razorock Aftershave Wax
Lavanda
I've only been using a straight for about a week and a half, but I've noticed considerable improvement in my technique, and the razor burn has decreased significantly Only need to do one ATG pass on the neck and chin with the DE to clean it up.
Have a great week!
