Razor: F.W. Engels 5/8
Shave prep Morning shave, so a hot shower
Brush: D.R. Harris
Preshave: –
Soap: Penhaligon English Fern
Scuttle: Simple soup bowl
Strop: Kanayama 20 canvas strokes and 60+ strokes on the leather
After Shave Splash: Nivea aftershave Balm
Notes:
In anticipation of the arrival of another F.W. Engels, I gave this one a run. Just to prep myself for what’s coming.
In my rotation this blade always delivers, whether it be an after-shower-no-holds-barred shave or a quickie.
The edge on this is amazing and simply a joy to the skin. The penhaligon made it an extra treat, BBS!

I guess I needed to repost for some unknown reason...

A new day a new razor. I bought this little Mappin from oldblades at the STL meetup. Its either a 5/8 or 6/8 by eyeballing. A fun story behind it is that I had found some Mappin advertisement some while back and had it framed for the shave den. I got to looking at it and its the same blade as advertised in the seven day set. The only thing that is missing is a day stamped into the spine for the set. I say good find and thanks oldblades. This shave was as smooth as butter. Today is snake invasion on campus marking the official start of St. Pat's hear but the seasoned veteran's usually start 50 daze before. Hope all have a good day.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?
