Thanked: 485Monday
Razor | Wade and Butcher | Cream | Body Shop Macca Root | After Shave | D. R. Harris Bay Rum
Smooth and close shave with the W&B this morning after two days of no shaving. Unfortunately I filled the sink up too much with water and the bowl with lather tipped up and became inundated with water. Nevertheless, I soldiered on…

Prep: Shower
Scuttle: Schwarzweisskeramik basic
Brush: Simpson Chubby 1 Best Badger
Soap: Nanny's Silly Soap Company "Vetyver" soft
Razor: JA Hellberg 6/8" clip-on Frameback
Aftershave: TOBS Victorian No.74 Lime
Notes: It's the first Frameback I ever bought and initially I wasn't quite sure about this as handling was not what I was used to, with the razor being just a thin blade with a couple of strips of metal attached along the spine. It felt quite flimsy and the handle felt heavier than the blade itself.
However, it didn't take me very long to get used to it and the geometry and steel means it can be made very keen and the result was a good smooth and close shave. I shall have to check the edge later to see how it held up.
Vetyver along with Patchouli is probably another scent that perhaps isn't quite my style. Performance was good though, so I'll be trying another sample next.

Thanked: 3224Prep - None
Strop - 3 Inch bridle leather/hard felt
Razor - Clauss/stropped night previous
Brush - Omega 10066 Boar
Soap - Williams puck/cold water face lathered
Post - Alum block followed with Thayers witch hazel
AS - Aqua Velva Ice Blue
About the only purpose I can see to using Williams soap is to drive beginners crazy. It works but barely. The Clauss oth shaves as well as any in my rotation and delivered a fine shave despite the Williams.
