SOAP - TOBS / Jermyn St
BRUSH - Kimson / Horn Handle
RAZOR - Boxer Custom 6/8
Last time i used this razor i sliced my face twice on the left cheek, but i completed the shave and it was pretty close.
The only problem with a spiked toe and relatively short blade edge is, you tend to use the blade near the toe and end up cutting yourself.
This razor certainly takes more concentration to use.

Prep: Hot Shower
Soap: TOBS Coconut
Brush: Thater Fine Badger
Razor: Ralf Aust 5/8
AS: Two applications of Thayers followed by Neutrogena
Post Shave Lotion
Rough shave. I am having a heck of a time with finding the right angle on the neck. Ended up with major razor burn everywhere below the jaw, hence the double application of Thayers. I don't know if the second application did anything but it felt appropriate. Sorry no picture. I was playing around with shave gear and camera yesterday-cell phone pics were bad and I don't have the skill for good shave pics with the SLR sans macro lens.

Gorgeous day today, cool, clear and dry.
Hot shower, warm oil
Dirty Bird Scuttle
Custom Badger Brush
Castle Forbes AS
Dovo, Silver Steel, 5/8 full hollow
25 Laps with tape on Paddle with Crox, 50 Laps on leather
Razorock Aluminum
Thayer's Witch Hazel
Vaseline for men
A quick touch up on the Dovo. I've had discussions about using Crox on a paddle strop with tape on the spine. My take is that if the razor is honed with tape, and I use tape on the spine when using the Crox on a paddle, the result will have no effect on the bevel. Seems to work well for me because I've checked the bevel after using Crox and tape and found no issue other than the quick refresh.
Anyway, the entire shave was great, from the aroma from the CF to the hot towels at the end.
Enjoy the rest of the day!!
