Yeeowza.! Man, that's gonna hurt for awhile. Hope there's no permanent nerve damage, Mike. I know what it feels like not to have any feeling in the tip of my right index finger. Could have been my whole right arm, a nerve had become pinched in my cervical. Luckily one of the top five chiropractors in the nation happens to be a few miles from me. He got it to release, before more damage was done, and never had to under go surgery. Come to find out besides having lower spinal stenosis, that I've also got degenerative disc disease. Specialist did an MRI on my spine says it looks like about an 82 year old man's and that was 20 years ago. So running, and long distance walks are over for me.

Thanked: 4206Thanks gents. Expect some loss of feeling, maybe restricted movement at that last knuckle joint but should be ok.
Specialist will be seeing me tomorrow so that’s pretty quick.
Totally my fault, and stupid.
Snow blower bogged down throwing wet snow, which led me to replace the belt for the auger drive as it was stretched and cracked.
After putting the new one on and firing up the unit I realizaed I still had slush bridging the discharge chute.
The clutch did work and the auger wasn’t engaged, but because the new belt was tight, there was drag in the drive enough to have the auger spinning, which I didn’t realize till just after I stuck my hand in to clear out the slush.
8hp wake up call. Im as stupid as a rookie, depending on the moment I guess.

Rest assured you are not the first to do this nor will you be the last.
I cut my right information finger into the second joint. 8 stitches. Cold weather always reminded me not to try grabbing a dropped glass cereal bowl in the sink!If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.
