Cut from this morning, during my first go round with a shavette. Just put the blade straight onto this spot. I finished the shave, though! Name: 20170623_211202-1.jpg

Same thing I learned from my first real cut from a straight... pay attention! And don't put the edge straight down onto the skin!

Try filing down the corners of the blade just slightly with the file in your fingernail clippers. That saved me a lot of blood.

Hmmm---You must of just recently discovered this 'trick' in the last 4 days as you'd posted here about your cut only 4 days ago!

Good answer!! But those cuts were with a straight not a shavette. I just transitioned.

To me, Shavettes are scary. Too sharp and flimsy. Sharp corners.

I had just as well use a DE blade between my fingers. Just me.

don't be picking on my Feather RG it will keep your attention right where it belongs,, must be why I don't get many cuts from a regular straight, but yes shavettes are brutal if not watched Tc
