Allegany Instruments Corporation Razor on the way.
generic internet pic.
Been keeping an eye out for one of these for about a year.
While on the bay the other night. This popped up as a suggestion.
With little time left. Got it for a very budget price.
Looking forward to getting it up and shaving. Looks to be a nice example.
If it's anywhere as good as my other USA razors. Geneva,Burrell,Robeson,Schumate,Worcester. I'll be happy.
So many good brands. Still keeping an eye out for some other makes. For the right price . Ken

Finally!
It didn't come in the mail but I picked it up yesterday.
Some background: Back in '69 when I had my first motorcycle which was a little Honda 90 with a pressed steel 'T' frame; I was up at a friend of my dad's cabin (he had 20K acres on just one side of the road) and an old boy whose name was Ray who lived up the creek a bit and lived there year round with his dog in an old single wide trailer was there.
When he saw my bike he said; "Give me a ride up to my place I got something for ya" so he climbed on and up the road we went. When we got there he had me follow him in and he went to small closet and pulled out something. He said; "This is an old motorcycle cops leather jacket and I want you to have have it.
It was worn and smelled heavily of wood smoke but I put it on (it was much too big) and rode him back to the other place.
I had the jacket cleaned ($15/in 1969) and it came back odor free and they had re-dyed it. I've worn that jacket on Every Motorcycle I've Ever Had plus riding on other guy's bikes.
Well the satin lining was pretty much shot/it barely made it though last years 5K ride and I have a friend who is a professional seamstress and I asked if she could put a new lining in my beloved jacket. She took a look/including the shredded remains of the arms and said; "It's doable" but I have about a 4 month backlog. That was in the last of October and I said Do it!
Unfortunately she had some health problems and some family problems so I didn't get my jacket back until yesterday but Boy Howdy am I a Happy Camper! I'm riding out the end of the second week of July for a long trip and I really needed that jacket! The frosting on the cake is how nice it came out! Well worth the funds and the wait
Some pics:
She even put the original tag back in! (Horsehide)
Oh! Yes there was originally a place for the officers badge!
Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

Thanked: 4206A terrific surprise in the mail from an SRP member when I got home today.
Damn thing's in really nice condition. Bolsters are intact, blades got good life left and a nice finish, cool inlay.
No need to make new scales for this American classic. Little polish, and to the stones. Could be my 'are you man enough....' Shaver at 1k grit.
And the rear stamp makes it the coolest, and the reason it was sent to me in the first place.
With my sincere gratitude and a nod to the cosmic PIF gods I just wanted to say thanks.
Good members make a good forum. Great members make it better!
Thanks TY.
