Well, not exactly in the mail...more like in the street.

50 foot 1-1/2” fire hose which translates to 3” wide when flattened. Pretty sure it's flax but it was too dirty to tell for sure. I'm still cleaning it up and then I should know better. It got stiff as a board when I filled it with water which normally means flax linen with thinner weave hose.

I was driving down the street and there it was on the edge of the road. Must have fallen off someone's truck.

That’s a lot of strop material.

Looks like it’s had a lot of use. It’ll be interesting to follow your process for cleaning it up and getting it “strop-ready”.

I guess I need to find a thread for that or start a new one. It's in the process and getting cleaner but definitely taking some time.

In the strop thread, yes that’s a grand idea.

That hemp webbing came in and it is soft, maybe too soft. I haven't tried it out yet other than a few passes and then comparing how it looked before and after through 13X magnification but I have a hard time seeing the need for pounding the daylights out of it.

Thanks to an acquaintance of the Wetshavers_India group on Reddit, I had these products:

I’ve never tried three, the two soaps and the Diamond Edge.
I read it quite well. I’m glad.
    And Jaipur Oud is great.
    Just opening the jar.
    A wonderful fragrance.
