I finally got my hands on some MdC. I couldn't get the regular one but I got the Fougere. I was a little nervous because my skin is very scent sensitive. I used it this morning and I'm happy to say no redness or burning. What can I say that hasn't been said before other than "I'm a true believer!!!"

    You can't.

You have to order from the maker in France and eat the shipping charges.

You know!!! MdC is just bullheaded enough to not take PayPal, and, I'm just bullheaded enough to not put my CC# on the web!! I'd pay the extra PayPal fee, but, MdC can't seem to figure that out!!

I'd love to try it, and I wish they'd find an amicable way to sell their product, but if they can live without my business, and others like me, than I guess I can live without their soap!!

    Too Bad!!!

Even here in France, I am still amazed about how expensive this soap is !
We've got half a dozen soap that work as well as this one, but, well eh ! Seems the buzz is something you cannot contradict !

I was in France last month, and took the subway to go to Planète Rasoir to buy a Martin de Candre jar. Instead of getting off at the “Place de Clichy” station, I got off at “Porte de Clichy” station and had to walk up a slope for about half hour. Were the walk and the price worth it? Yes!

First of all, I pleasantly surprise to meet Lynn Abrams there. Second, the soap itself is the best soap I’ve ever used, not that I have used a lot. It has the right balance between too slippery and not slippery enough. And more importantly, it does not leave my skin dry. I sure wish I had bought more than one jar, but at 48 Euro a jar…
