    Bill,

I "ubered" out of ignorance. Of course, when I don't have a "matching" cream for a soap, I use my T&H Ultimate Comfort Unscented because it is ....hmm, well, unscented. As you can imagine, MdC & T&H uber results in lather that will almost levitate the brush right out of the bowl. Economical - unmistakably not, overkill - definitely. Believe me, I'll not waste that way again.

Back to singing the praises of MdC....

    Thumbs up

    Obie jan,
MdC is indeed a great soap . And all that wholesome goodness with nothing more than 4 or 5 ingredients . Very good stuff.

I must add though, that the MdC's performance can only be beat (albeit only slightly) by one other soap - The La Toja Manantiales . I recently came to inherit this wonderful soap from a friend in Spain and was utterly surprised at how marvelously this unassuming soap smelled and performed .

    Robert jan:

Thanks for the heads up on La Toja Manantiales. I have eyed this soap for quite sometime. That you like it tells me it is of high quality. I will keep it on my list to try.

You're also right about the limited number of ingredients used in Martin de Candre. Well, that's what the craftsman's hand will do every time.

    Stay well.

We'll rival the best of them: Frank Lesser and Abe Burrows (Guys and Dolls); Jerme Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II (Show Boat); Anrew Lloyd Webber and Chrles Hart and Richard Stilgoe (The Phantom of the Opera); Jerry Herman and Harvey Fierstein (La Cage Aux Folles); and Frederick Lowew and Alan Jay Lerner (My Fair Lady).

Listen, what do they have that we don't? I don't see why we couldn't do Broadway musicals about razors and soaps. Lynn and the Mods can do the singing and the dancing.

    Hey shooter,
Congrats on getting a great soap, but check your credit card statement online. That total (from MdC's invoice) is calculated with the wrong conversion rate. I found this out the hard way when I recently put in a group order and the total in USD I got (similar to your invoice) was very different than what was charged to my cc. MdC's website conversion rate is off. You may have paid more for that darn soap.

I'm thinking your total is going to actually be a little closer to $68 US
