    Hello, Shooter:

I had heard of Martin de Candre and had always wanted to try it. Then my good friend LegalBeagle was kind enough to send me a sample of it. I was convinced instantly Martin de Candre was what I thought it would be.

I do think this is really a great soap. I dare say Martin de Candre comes closest to what a perfect soap should be — whatever that means.

What I also discovered is that Martin de Candre needs water. Now I make the lather slightly on the watery side and it works wonders. You don't need much with this soap. I think about 10 to 12 swirls of the brush on the soap should do it. I think it's also a good idea to add a few drops of water in the scuttle to whip up a bit more moist lather for the next pass. Experiment and see what works best for you.

You fellas better watch out for this Obie guy. He's like the neighborhood drug dealer giving out free samples to get you hooked. If you read that review your finished.

I just read Obie's review, and I feel my will power weakening... OBIE!!!!!

Victor, I know we aren't exactly geographic neighbours, but I'd totally be up for a group buy! Let's see how much interest we can muster, 'cause the shipping costs are quite ridiculous.

Tread carefully. We don't allow group buys like this. If you just want to gauge general interest that's fine but any details take to a PM please.

    Obie,

Your review of MdC was a delight to read. Your steamy metaphors are sure to make any warm-blooded male SRP member throw financial caution to the wind and brave the stiff shipping fees to experience skin that "feels like an embrace from a beautiful woman."

Could this woman be Mariette, perhaps?

    Hello, Greg:

Thanks for the kind words about the review.

Yes, Mariette's embrace would make Martin de Candre the perfect shave cream. Imagine that embrace every morning in the shave den.

By the way, for those who do not know the intoxicating Mariette, she is the female protagonist in my novel "Will's Music." I fell in love with her as I created her for the novel. And Greg, my friend, I'm glad you fell in love with her reading the novel. It's nice to hear.
