Thanked: 1936Yes, I think it will last a year if you use it exclusively. Mine is just starting to show it's been used (dishing in the soap) and I've used it somewhere around 30x.

Thank you and God Bless, Scott

I would say the large jar will last at least a year. Mine is barely 9 months old and I might use it once a week or once a fortnight as a bare minimum. It's gone down about half a centimetre and I tend to really over-load my brush. The lather is so good, I just don't want to use any other soap once I clear-out/use my hoarded items. And believe me, there's plenty of them!
I'll be venturing out on the wooden bowl version when mine runs out. And with cheaper shipping rates coming (Jose - can't thank you enough if you manage to pull this one off for all of us!!), I'll definitely be putting an order in for some Eau de Candre colognes and some other big treats

I only told Marie Amélie the same opinions that we are talking in the forum, all the people post the same, great product, expensive and the shipping costs are higher than any other webshop....If she don't try to improve this features of her business she wouldn't be very intelligent

Another shaver hooked
I'm teaching a friend, who is a long time DE shaver, how to shave with a straight. He uses a rather small brush so I let him use one of my brushes. I decided to make it a real treat, so I pulled out the MdC. He was stunned at the performance of the MdC.
Since he's tight on cash, the only honorable thing to do is to share some of my MdC with him. Hmm, maybe I should have bought 2-3 jars when I was in Paris...

IMHO the limited editions (cannellé, domino, etc....) are less perfumed than the regular jar, at least in the jars that I've seen. The next week I receipt some MdC soap for a spanish group of wetshavers, I'll tell you the differences.

The color of the soap is a bit darker and spotted in the soap of the jars too. The soap of the limited editions is white as the unscented version . I have the unscented in jar, a travel regular soap in jar and a wooden bowl, and I agree: the soap, kept open, loss the scent faster, the soap in travel jar is more powerful by the scent side. At lathering they are all the same,.....the best soap
