After a year and a half of multiple serious and less serious ankle injuries, I'm finally back at 3x150 kg dead lifts and 4x50 kg (standing) shoulder press.

At 172 cm tall 88 kg body weight (no cycling for me = chubbiness), that's not too shabby, methinks.

Next goal: 200 kg dead lifts and finally get serious with chin/pull ups (and fixing my bike :P).

So I get an email this morning with the final instructions for Sunday's race which included the following:

    PICAROON PERMISSION SLIP

I, (insert name of school headmaster) hereby confirm that I grant permission for (insert name of participant) to wear a wetsuit during the Penguin Swim at the 2017 Picaroon. The reason for this is that (insert name of participant) is weak of mind, body and soul and I fear for their constitution if they are exposed to the frigid water of Emmarentia Dam. Ever since I first met (insert name of participant) I have noticed a cowardly trait in them. I would encourage other participants to note the fear in their shifty eyes.

    Signed:
Guess, I'll leave my wetsuit at home.

Well that is one way to shame you in to leaving it at home.
