The normal Friday morning ride with the crew, which I cut short to 26km.

I don't know what made me think I was fit and strong enough to ride my MTB on a road ride but I really struggled, hence the cutting short of the ride . It wasn't as if I was the only MTB rider, there probably was a dozen MTBers who had no problem keeping up . Oh well, back into the little hole I'll crawl and keep to my Singlespeed.

How long is your commute? I've been contemplating bike commuting and have about the same distance.

17 miles each way. I am really lucky that I can ride the bike trail until the last 1.5 miles before my workplace.

It takes me about 1 hour 10 minutes but I am not trying to win any races. I start at 5:10 AM and all I see is what is in the headlight, skunks, deer, opossum, raccoons, and the occasional fox darting across the trail. More relaxing then trying to ride fast.

Today i used my toddler as a weight and did some bench press and tricep extensions 😂

It is worth noting... I wasn't on a bench lol this was done safely lying on the floor. When she decided it would be a good idea to jump on daddy.

Please do not take your small children to the gym for use as a barbell 😂

This morning's ride, although only 21.5km and 464m of ascent, was anything but easy.
The blue route at Thaba Trails bike park on my Titus El Guapo.
Saw plenty of Zebra, Wildebeest, Hartebeest and Impala.

Standing bent over barbell rows 72.5 x8 x4
Bench bent over db rows 35 x8 x4
Wide grip pull down 50 x 8 x4 done at double speed(sets not reps)

Just made reps on deads so hopefully only a couple weeks before I get back to where I was. At least my back is going better so hopefully will be fully ok again soon.
How are those pull ups going
