Welcome Willi!! What a great shave and a great video, I loved it! It looked like you were having too much fun! I also like the long stroke insted of a short stroke. 3 minutes 48 seconds, we need to do a breakdown as to when to start timing and at what moment a shaver is finito, and we can make this the first event at the first annual straight shavers rodeo! Im game if you are!

1. The guy is experienced, hats off to him and respect.
2. I don't think it's sped up.
3. I agree about the next day -- you can get away going ATG straight off with slightly longer growth and calm skin. But shaving next day or day after he'd feel it for sure. His skin will need two days at least to calm down after that.
4. Youtube quality vid doesn't show how close he got. I reckon not that close, but the difference between long growth at the start and what he finished with is so big that one might be fooled into thinking it was a close shave.
5. His skin must be pretty tough. That was probably close to boiling water if not actually boiling. "Heiss!" confirmed it would be hot as hell. If he can spread that all over his face, even with thick growth, he ain't got sensitive skin. So maybe he's blessed and can shave fast 'n' dirty without paying too much for it.
6. He's truly two-handed in his technique. And he knows it too "Links hande" he declares halfway through. I reckon to do the four-minute mile, sorry shave, you have to be as confident with both hands. I'm not. I don't think I could do that (and I have less than half the beard coverage he has!).

(EDIT) Willi -- I posted this without reading all the recent responses. Glad you chimed in. Thanks for clearing up most of our queries. I have two more questions for you:
- how close was the shave?
- did you shave the next day or day after? If so, how did it feel on the skin?

What is the meaning of “WTG/XTG/WTG” ?

I certainly can understand the concern about not using this video as an example for newbs, but...

It was a very charming video. Many thanks to the OP and the guy in the vid... Don't let the critics get to you... alot of us think it was a great video.

I just love the video. Willi goes about his shave like a guy who has done it that way for years. I also love the shave because it taught me a new trick..... the way WIlli holds the razor on his ATG pass was just something I had to try, kind of a "EUREKA" moment for me....so I had to try it.


And I got closer with a straight than I ever have before.

So thanks for the cool video....and also, the groovy dancing girl video was interesting as well.
