I used 400 grit wet/dry this morning. The blade has no issues, other than old staining that wont polish out, but will polish highly. Thanks for the advice. I wont need these cream-colored scales, if anybody wants them.

Hope that hone ware is not too bad and that spot of rust on the edge might give you some trouble. But it also might clean right up. Good luck.

Trim installed in the baby room, now since I have a bit of me time, I cut some blanks for the lathe as well as 2 pieces to glue together for a small bowl or lather bowl maybe?? Also some cherry, the grain looks real purty. Have to see how it goes. Good work men!

Cant stand on my own two feet, and tired of laying on the couch with my foot in the air.
So I got on my knees and drug a couple chairs over to the work bench, one for sitting in, and one to prop my foot up.

For those that don't know, I screwed up my ankle last Friday.
taken about 35 minutes after injury. Looks worse now.

But anyhoo, I got the scales for Benz, finished. Alls needed is a new wedge, and I can pin it back up.

There is no covered finish. Its been sanded to 3000 grt., then hand rubbed with Howards, Restorer A Finish, and sealed with Howards, Feed N Wax.

Yep, I've been through this many times myself. Nothing new, just another pain to contend with. [emoji38]
