Nice deep tang stamp and lots of steel to work with.
Fair bit more sanding to do but should clean up nicely.

Cool Irish blade there. Reminds me of a Greaves stub tail I did.

Made some progress on that etched blade.

That's quite an elaborate etch on that one. You've been making great progress, blade is looking awesome so far.

Looks done to me! So...What did you do for the black down in the etch?

I figured it was done, but when you said "made some progress" it sounded like you had in mind something more you wanted to do to it. It looks terrific and what a save on the etch!

Thanks guys. Yes it’s done . And I don’t know why that you can clean the etch and in some pics and angles it looks , and is , clean. But then shoot it under different conditions it looks black! Nothing changed.

I won’t post it as I’ve posted too much lately. Give it some time and it’ll go up.

Plus I have a very cool shaving stand I’d like to post too. Quite unique I think. Made a brush and a razor for it.

I had actually thought about using 'Tarnex' down in that etch. Need to try that on a junker someday.
Post up your stuff, Mark! New stuff is good!
