Nice - looking forward to seeing that finished!

What steels did you use for your billet?
Geezer, outback and Dieseld like this.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

A couple items I picked up, while running some errands today.
Figured I'd get them cleaned up, and honed for tomorrow's shave.

    A 5/8 Genco, Army/Navy, and a Rubberset, boar brush.

Cleaned the brush with Shout, laundry spray, then a dip in some 35% peroxide, followed by a good shampooing, and conditioner. Then filled the letters with white, wax paint.

Disassembled the razor, cleaned and flatten scales, and polished with Flitz.

Steel wool n oil, followed by 3M metal restorer, for the blade.

And pinned in original fashion. Collarless, nickle silver pins.
