Exactly Shaun! Back in my younger days when older cars used to have the gas fill behind the license plate, someone forgot their gas cap & I rode through some gas & it was the same thing, like riding on a puddle of oil. I went down from that.

Definitely no sanding on this one. Can't Even use the magnetic, blade holder. You can see the blade flex from the magnets. All work is blade in hand, or laying on a piece of hard neoprene.

The top of the pin hole has been beveled, so I need to fill them to keep the collars from sinking in. All goes as planned, should have it back together tonite.

But your right going by where you are, we pretty much have a year round riding season here with a few cold & nasty days. Every year is different. One year we might have a warmer winter when the next might be just the opposite. One year, we got a good layer of snow on the ground on Christmas day.
I have rode in snow. Built motors that had to have break in and such. I used to put at least 50 miles on per day in snow and cold. November, December, January it didn't matter. Had to make sure all was right before trailering it to the new owner. Don't really miss that, I miss the summer cruise control issues
