I had a couple of similar blades they did have traces of the original hollow ground bevel. Not really common, only two out of over 200 I had. Someone said that they probably lasted only a few honings before the bevel became more normal.

A little more rigidity on that couple of mm's off the edge bevel? Less prone to deflection on the hones? Either way, they look cool!

I keep waiting for 'The Man'--to chime in with his thoughts since he does a lot of similar razors-- Victor, Victor, come out, come out wherever you are---

I'm afraid of bringing out the pitting too if I was to color it in any way. But...I also would know how to search for such a thing. Maybe he will pop in and link me.
