    Can't hurt anything,
Were working with horn, instead of hair/ same thing. Just thicker, and only one strand. Gonna take a bit to penetrate it.

Note: always dye, before any CA repairs. Dye won't penetrate CA, and you'll end up with what looks like fisheye.

Yeah, something like bog oak dust would probably be better for filling voids on black horn anyway. Even something that absorbs the dye will stand out some as it cures. Amazing how well bog oak seems to match.

What do you use for conditioning bone? I though mineral oil was usually used for ivory and bone.

Mineral oil for bone n ivory, Josh.

I used baby oil for sanding the blade, instead of WD-40, or the like.

And I've used it for bone n ivory, too. It is mineral oil, with fragrance. Who cares about the smell, it goes away once you polish the scales.

Thanks. That was the easy part. Now is the tedious, fun part of progressive sanding, and hand polishing.

Nice razor, and nice work getting it back to work. I would expect the baby/mineral oil, being a little thicker than WD would make for more shallow scratch patterns, and stick to the blade better. I will have to give it a whirl.
