    My W&B Celebratted Hollow Ground is narrower at the heel. Was that just one of the variations?

    They varied in shape a little. It could be though that it was from honing. Hard to say this far removed. Unfortunately, no one was around that saw them new that is still around to tell us today

    @JP5 It looks to me that the heal/stabilizer has been worked on and is still not as smooth/round as it should be. So, an issue of honing or repair is what I'm seeing IMO.
    Still, it's a fine-looking blade. Not everyone has an FBU.
    It's just Sharpening, right?

    Yep, just needs a touch removed from the back side of the stabilizer. Other than that, looks like good clearance for honing
