Here is a cleaned up J. M. Schmidt & Sons “Westminster” razor I finished up yesterday. Transparent blue scales with red wedge.
The blade is 1/4 longer than most at 5 3/4”. I’ll see how it well it hones this afternoon.

I'll be adding to this very soon. Years end is coming quick, so I'll finally get some time for one that Rez sent earlier this year. A patient man, thankfully.

Thanked: 4827We both knew when I sent it to you that it would be a while.

I know, been anxious to get to it. Been on the back of my head, all year. Just not sure which way to go with it, totally.

Right up your alley, Mike.
Last time I finished something like that, it took me a couple of years!

Kropp Restore
I got a nice deal on a Kropp razor recently with very little hone wear.
I’m partial to the Kropps, because the 1st straight razor I owned was my grandad’s Kropp in ivory. It might have been his dad’s razor.
I’ve been wanting to try faux tortoise, and I think these are the prettiest scales I’ve ever made.
1st shave tomorrow.
