I am working on a third razor. I have this one about ready to heat treat. Looking forward to seeing how I like the shape once it's done.

How thick is the edge? From the pic it looks a bit thin.

    Ok, latest small update:

Had to cut of the motorbracket. Wasn't straight enough for my liking. Welded the rest of the frame and the contactwheel arm plus tracking arm. Put in the axle for the contactwheel, mounted the spring for the tracking mechanism.

Now Im waiting for a reply from the UK were I have to get my drive wheel from. And then it's just the electronics left, and some mounting holes to fasten on my workbench, plus a nice paintjob

    Bruno,
I have been leaving the edge about the thickness of a dime before I heat treat. I agree, it looks thinner than that in the picture. What thickness do you grind to before heat treatment?

I wouldn't go thinner than .02"-.03" but prefer to be at say a 1/16" (.06 ish)

They are a bit heavy (about 5-6oz), but other than that they are like any other material. The good thing about them is that as long as you don't drop them, they are immune to chipping, fading, and rooting/oxidation.

I am going to start working puppy that was made by Bruno. I have to admit that I am going to have a making scales that lend themselves for stropping.
