    Makes sense to me.

I mean......Will you finish it on the side of the finisher as well? Touching it up, even stropping it would be iffy, I think?

Best to see what you actually have first.

Small steps to correct the geometry can be taken, in spite of the wonky spine. Pressure, honewear, etc JMO

I suppose I could, never tried that... Kidding.

No, I set the bevel on the side of my King 1k because it's roughly 1" wide. Then I use a 1 inch coticule, just like anyone else would, to finish it.

Ask Jonathan what he thinks of this method. I sent him a Fredericks celebrated that I honed just like this, he didn't complain about the edge.

Ha, maybe I should have worded that differently.

Then I use a 1" inch coticule in the dilucot method to finish

My master mumbled something about fixing a broken scale on the George Butler. Something about mixing up some red dust from some Bloody Red Jasper recon with epoxy & putting the scale back together..................
He just threw me a bone & told me to leave him the %&@$ alone!

I often wonder how the got the dye to penetrate so deep into the horn. It has to be a combination of heat and pressure. Pressure cooker?

I had the exact same razor several years ago until I sold it to a friend of mine.

Was a pain to hone. Yours looks pretty straight for 3/4 of the spine. All you can do is give it a go!
Jonathan says thanks, Edge is still scary sharp. Now I am going to look at all 7 of them.
Your only as good as your last hone job.
