Ohhh! A Thurri? Velly Velly nice!
Seems the tung oil darkened it up a bit. Not to worry. It will fade to the grain quickly. Rub it with a clean soft on occasion!

Yes, that's the grey hone that, according to the diagonal saw marks on the sides and the size and shape of the hone itself, may or may not have had a label of some sort stuck to it for a brief period of it's ancient life. It sure feels like a dream to hone on and leaves an excellent edge.

Well bevel set on 5/8 W&B wedge now to strip it and clean the blade up and get it ready for her new shoes! Either camel bone or horn, I have two so either the barbers notch gets bone or the other decisions, decisions...

Ok so this arrived today was so happy, ended up not having to work tonight so decided to work on this. W&B FBU pretty serious ding in the toe. Well there goes that
Now onto clean up and hone. Just going to remove active rust and shave with this baby. Thanks for looking guys
