Soaked them in hot soapy water and for a while. Thought about it afterwards but I suppose the dishwasher would work any thought on that?
    Then been cleaning them up.
Here is first batch all done, the Gold gillette is now my wifes.(not sure why it isnt in the first photo) Yup she has switched to DEs now The schlick needed a bit of repair work to funtion right but nothing major.

I got this razor from Larry at whipped dog ages ago by accident. He was supposed to be sending me a piece of leather and instead I recieved this 😂

When I contacted him and sent a picture he told me just to keep it and he would send a better one to the person who ordered it. I think it was one of his sight unseens.

    So I cleaned it up.

And that really is all I did, a little sanding to clean up the blade and a polish of the scales.

    Also acquired this.

    Deeper than it looks 😂

Anyhoo. My friend was saying she would love to try out a straight. So I figured since I got this free I would pass it forward.

Finally relinquished the old Doodlebug minibike to a friend who has been bugging me to sell it to her for several years.
I will tear it down and restore it for her in her favorite black and yellow.
Seems a shame as it is all-original, but that is what she likes!

This pic is for John (Leatherstockings)!

14 DE's, about 7 are fully cleaned and ready to go (I will be giving some away in the very near future, Ho ho ho)
As to straights well my new box holds 18 (all waiting for cleaning/honing) 8 in my shave ready rotation box and probably 10-15 more in the need lots of work drawer plus waiting on 11 now from Evil Ebay So lets see that's about 50. Damn my wife is right I have to stop buying these things!!!

MY grandfathers Sansouci if anything is getting better every time I use it. If I really need a good shave (meeting at work or going to a party) its the one I use. Up till about a month ago I'd regularly bring a DE with me into the bathroom when I shaved in case I was having problems or just didn't feel right (rarely needed in last 6 months) But last month or so I bring the Sansouci as my backup, Switched to in maybe 3 times. 2 of those times it was from my black Russian that seems to only give me 1-2 shaves before I need the pasted strop.

I use the DE's when I need a quick shave. When I work mornings I get up at 5:20 and have to be out the house by 6:00
