Scales flattened out pretty good, installed a piece of pinning rod thru the scales to keep alignment, taped them tightly at two points to keep them from shifting, and to spread the wedge end open for a couple drops of medium CA,
then clamped them shut to dry.
Guess its time for a set of small, brass, domes.Mike

Washers domed, pin made, spacers made, assembled, cleaned up pin and domes, ready for the hones.
I still can't believe how thin this blade is, thinner than my set of Shulze razors.
I was real leery about it when cleaning it up, but always cautious, and alert, when running the dremmel.

Ran it over the 1,5,8,1200 Nanis, finished off on slurried Escher, diluting to pure water.
Now for 100 on leather.
Test shave in the morning, before my last bass tournament of the season.

I finally got around to honing the Wester Bros. Fraternity. It didn't quite hone up as I have come to expect from a Wester. My other dozon or so all had nearly flawless geometry, but this one had a bit of a warp. Not really an issue, just kind of surprised me. It had a little frown starting so I evened it out just a bit. Another interesting thing about this particular blade is that it's not actually marked with the makers name. The front is marked fraternity, and the back has No 33 and Germany with the Wester brothers logo. These would usually have the 33 on the front along with "REG US PAT" and the makers name on the back with the logo. I wonder if this could have been contracted to another maker during the Wester & Stone years. It took a nice edge and shaves great. Definitely a keeper.
