Picked up a Modoso 88. Description was it had a "ding" in the edge. Turned out it was a fairly large crack...
After some significant metal removal I got the crack out and honed it up. Very nice shaver.

I got my Electric Cutlery 'critter' razor pinned-up. Not too bad. A little cleaner, tighter, and shinier.
The previous owner seems to have been a bit 'heavy-handed' on the backside. A nasty-looking point!
Think I shall definitely hone toward a smile a bit. Maybe also run that 'imp' under the windowsill a few swipes!
So is this a 'dreadnought' point? I sort of dread it!
Oh well....Here we go!

Thanks, BeJay! I will always settle for 'better'! Great is bonus!
So it seems to have had a bit of a frown. Had to reapply the brown turd 600 slurry another time and push down on either side of a spot that would not cut. Swooped it pretty good, removed a heel-hook, alternated straight strokes with swooping for a while. 2 pieces of worn tape equals one, right?
Was getting kind-of miffed at it at a point and reached-over and hit it 10 licks on my stiff, zippy Illinois fabric 'workshop' strop and as if by magic, it was sending hairs flying everywhere.
I must have had some jagged bits or a fin on the edge from all the pushing. That strop will take them right off, although I don't like it for everyday use. 25 more laps and off to the Naniwa 1k a bit before moving on.
Anyhoo, it looks much more friendly now!

Oh yeah! The owl and the moon! Celluloid collectors have kept them high-dollar for a lot of years.
Happy to say I did get a smoking deal on this one.
Now......The owl and the moon..........

I lost that one for $85.00 I believe, pretty much when I first joined and starting looking at eBay, just before I discovered Sheffield Steel and the awe inspiring Wade & Butcher, and I thought who would ever pay $85.00 for an old, used razor, this is insanity...and then down the wormhole I went...and I look back at that now (I really liked that one) and just shake my head thinking what a noob, what a noob.....

Putting a hold on the W&B's.
Came home from work to find two razors on the dining room table, and my wife with a grin on her face. She says, you like them, $15 each.
Her step brother found them at a yard sale and bought them, knowing I restore a bit. I see she has paid attention to my babbling about what to look for in a blade worthy of restoration, even the butchered ones. So yes, I gave her the money she spent on them for me.
First up..
5/8 Wosty, Celebrated IXL. Light rust on both blade faces where blade stops in top of scales, and on tail, and light tarnish throughout. Should clean up a treat.
Second..
A 4/8 Henckles
Clean as a button, but two small chips in the edge that will hone out, rendering it a heavy 7/16 shaver. Scales are in "awesomely" perfect condition.

Those red scales remind me of George Korn razors.
Lemme see if a Henckels blade materializes.
Those scales deserve more.....
Meh! Her step-bro garnered 24.00 on the deal!
