I did not polish it fully. I wanted to keep the etching on the blade so I left a lot of the patina alone. It sharpened quickly and gave a wonderfully smooth first shave....except for one moment of lost concentration where the square point bit me a little

Overall a very different, fun razor to add to my collection
NICE! They are of 'German Silver', a form of nickel-silver, I think.

Seems I did a few of those recently! Back through this thread and the Butchered Blade thread....
CF Ern of Germany seems to be the maker of the scales, selling in the U.S..

I have an ERN Junior in these same scales as well, that I need to get fixed up. It's in great shape, I just need to get a nut for the pivot screw, and hone it. They sure are cool looking razors. Chugach68 I really like what you did with yours. Didn't over polish it.

If the blade was plain I would have probably polished it up more but I like blades with etching, even it they aren't mirrors. At least until I find a nos etched one with mirror finish lol. I have another one with more etching that I am working on, needs scales. Its a Simmons hardware easy shaver.

I know alot of motorcycle shops sell it for the plastic parts on bikes. Great product.

I have the screw and unique little nut from one of mine as I used pins/collars. They have your name on them!

Oh man, thanks Tom. I thought about pinning mine, but realized, how the heck am I going to do that!? It's in that little recessed area, no way to get the hammer head at it......

So how did you do it? A nail set or a punch of some sort?

All finished up. The scales were shot. Warped so bad the razor circled all the way through instead of stopping. The new ones are blue acrylic. Used the original wedge. No signs of wear on the blade, all I did was polish with a cloth.
