I have plenty of junk blades that aren't rusty. I'll put 'em in a baggie & let them love one another for awhile. Meanwhile, I'll get on something else.

Got a piece of O1 a while back, finally started to try my hand at making some razors. Tried a few different designs, just getting a feel for the grinder.

Those all look long enough in the tang to be fixed but I bet at least three will be folders.

I had a feeling that was how to test good ones from bad ones but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. You never know! I have tried to reply with multiple quotes using the little box on the lower right but it isn't working.

Also, note the smell when you open the sealed container. Once you smell it, it will be imprinted as cellrot or the beginnings of in your noggin'.

I have had ones in the past that I bought in a small lot & one was ruined along with a couple others because they had been stored with it. Thank you all for your advice.

4 will be folders, maybe 5. All depends on how many potatoe chips i make.

Just a quick mock up before I start the finishing touches. I love the mock up!! Seeing all your hard work finally looking like a finished product. Its got to be one of my favorite parts of the restoration. Attachment 191203Attachment 191204Attachment 191205

You put all that work into it only to put a spacer on the scales versus a wedge...why? It's a good looking restoration, but I had to ask.
