Man does that picture bring back some memories from wayyyyyyy Back! My grandfather's lawn mower had steel hinge bolted to the top of the motor and when he'd go to shut it off,he'd flip the tapered part over the spark plug.

    The hinge looked like this:

I bet that's why my grandfather used the hinge!

Nice work on the Packwood scales, Mike, and glad to hear you're feeling better with the tendonitis. Hoping you'll be back in "Machine Gun Mike" form soon! The bubinga grain will look great with the finish.

Bejay, excellent save a few pages back, came together looking as good as new and itching to return to doing its shaving duty.

And Tom, the mini bike is awesome. Can't look at that without smiling!

I've been in between projects but did get a start on a Heinisch razor I found last summer in a local antiques store. And by start I mean I set it on the bench near my tools.

Man that's nice work on a whole bunch of different projects over the last two pages gents. .
Got me some appropriate shop envy Richard, looks awesome! Planes turned out terrific I think, and wish I still had my old Stanley some days.
Scales are looking good for an ole claw hand like myself and I hope the pain mellows out soon enough Mike. Spring is tough on all my broken bits due to the damp so I feel ya buddy.
Mini bike is cool, and the spark suppressor toggle Tommy!! truly a rarity anymore I reckon and really sets off the whole machine as legit vintage cool!
I've been playing catch up at work, and kind of hate my job at the moment, or at least what a grumpy prick it's turning me into, but that's another rant.

As often as spark plugs were in and out for other reasons, you can see that this thing (spring-steel) had to fit on the plug just right. Slid on the flats, it was gone in no time!

Then, Bubba was yanking off the wire to kill it!

17 pages have come and gone here but I finally got the razor put together. Lots of mistakes but most corrected. I didn't get the shine I was wanting after messing up the finish a couple times.

Just got done putting an edge on it as in the pics it butter knife dull and the edge is pretty even and small. I like it. Will give it a shave tomorrow morning to see how I did but I think its going to be just fine. Would like more shine on the scales so might still coat it with something.
    It's just Sharpening, right?
