Yup, yesterday I ask my 3-year-old granddaughter, if she had a good day at Pre-school?

She said, Yea, and I didn’t even hit anybody, today!

I told her, not to worry, it was still early.

Here’s the Angel/Terrorist, she cleans up well. Apparently at school, does not take a lot of…guff, or cutting in line…

About the size of a large car tire. Plus I cut around 7 or 8 more about volleyball and basketball size. My pot of gold!

Now to get the cuts well sealed and wait a few years so it don't crack.

It was an uprooted tree that fell onto the farmers field. It fell last year, so some of it is already dry. My biggest issue at the moment is where to put it all. The biggest one is crawling with bugs.

My plan is to power was them all and stick them in the basement. Some are very punky. Most have not only the burl grain, but also amazing spalting lines as well as the red staining typically found in Box Elder. I really did get quite lucky with this.

I'm trying to enjoy it as much as possible. My five year old is daddy's girl for sure. I've also got a fourteen year old... I think he's starting to turn.

I had a lot of fun with all my kids when they were little, and then when they were teenagers I had even more fun. It has been a great time all the way through but I think I had the most fun with them when they were teenagers. There were five teenagers all at the same time. I had different activities that I enjoyed with each of them, and we were all always busy but had time for fun. I think the secret is, listen carefully, talk often and cherish every single moment. Sometimes it is the rough moments that provides much laughter for tomorrow. When we get together it is still a riot.
