    Here's the Fontenille 134 frameback pinned up and ready for the stones. She now centers perfectly! Going to hone her up to 5k tonight and set it aside for a coticule that's on its way to me.

    LeCoultre is said to have made his blades from watch and clock springs as what we would call Damascus. I have seen some that would tend to make me believe it. I would have to hold the blade in my hand to make that call, not from the photos.

    Yes. I think the pattern is etched on the blade. There was some light rust on one spot that luckily cleared up with steel wool without hurting the etching. I've seen this pattern on several french framebacks.

    I Just finished my Bronze Victorian Straight Razor that takes replaceable blades and will also be able to have a injector arm soon too.

    How's the weight on those scales?
    Nice looking handles, if I used a shavette..
